Hand Made.....

I had been on the hunt for over sized hair bows for a while but couldn't seem to find any that were just right (I'm annoyingly fussy about these things). So I decided to make some. Here's my first one. Its made from white velvet with a metal clasp.

Time for a Change

Ok so admittedly it's not a life changing change I'm about to embark on, its just that I've had the same long dark brown with bangs hair style for 5 years now and I need something new. It's just that I want a different hair-do every week and I cant decide? I need help!! One minute I want a blonde bob, next I want bright orange/red, next I want to give into the Ombra trend and just go blonde on the ends then I'm considering Katy Perry Blue, oh and did I mention pastel? I love pastel hair. See my (rather shallow) dilemma! Any Ideas?

Time Machine

I recently stayed with some friends at their parents house while they were away. As soon as I walked in it was like walking into a 1950's movie. The house was frozen in time. A perfect representation of a little cottage in a different era. In-fact as I made my way through room by room they told me the house has hardly changed since the early 60's. Most of the furniture and ornaments were their wedding presents. They set up home after getting married and thats how it stayed. Incredible!

Confessions

I am guilty to secretly wishing for poor eye sight. I know that's a terrible affliction to desire but I would love to wear huge geeky glasses all the time and actually need them. I got these clear glass one's from The Yellow Brick Road but I can't bring myself to actually wear them out, just too silly really. So for now me and my 20/20 vision shall remain friends. Maby I can be a crazy Nanna one day with huge readers? xxx

The Hedgehog

A while back I saw 'The Hedgehog' at a cute boutique Cinema with my Oma. I usually like french films so I had high expectations for it, and it far exceeded them. Its a story about a very intelligent 11 year old girl from a wealthy family who has come to the conclusion that her life only has one path it can go down and that its not a life worth living. She decides to committ suicide on her 12th birthday. She decides to video her last year on earth to show all the reasons why her life isint worth living. Ok, so its sounds a bit dark but through out the rest of the film as she documents everything in her world she starts to form relationships in the most unexpected places and discovers small beauties that could help her to reconsider her death wish. It has some twists and turns along the way that I wont give away but I definitely recommend it as one of the most thought provoking films I've seen for a while, perhaps since Fight Club?

The Yellow Brick Road

Yikes!! Its actually happening. The reason for my complete lack of posting due to a secret project is going to happen for real. I'm opening my very own Boutique! Its going to be ready in a few weeks and I'm selling the cutest, Clothes, Jewelery and Gifty goods ever! I'll put some pics up soon but then I promise my blog will back to normal and If you like the look of the shop I'm making a blog for it soon. The first thing I have to share is my shop sign. Hiding Place

I wish I had a little place like this to escape to from time to time. My own little space to read and think with a cup of tea and some soft cushions. Somewhere to escape the world of a while and re-charge, but until then my couch will do.......................xxx

Bright Star

I saw this a while ago with my Oma. She absolutely hated it saying quote 'It was like watching paint dry' but I loved it. It was just beautiful to watch, even if the story was slow and somewhat tragic. It made me want to hand write love letters, lounge about on tree tops, make my own clothes and read more poetry.

Minty Fresh

This toothpaste might not be very exciting to you if you live somewhere you can buy it, but Ive never seen it before and I want it! Such cute packaging to sit in my bathroom. Yes Please!!!

One Wonderful Week

I had the most wonderful week in a seaside cottage with Seth and my puppy dog. I'm totally relaxed and re-charged for another year. Here's some pics of pretty much all my week consisted of. It made me realize what a beautiful country I live in and how noisy the city is. The silence really worried me the first day.

One beautiful clear night we made a bed outside to watch the stars. Have you ever noticed how looking up at the stars always triggers deep thinking and conversation's? Like the 'Why are we here?' and 'Are we alone in the universe?' type thoughts. Well It does for me......xxx

Winter Holiday

Good-bye World. I am escaping to the beach with my boy. Time for a chilly, cuddly, relaxing break in a little white cottage on the beach. I vow to read the books I haven't had time for, drink copious amounts of tea, think, dream, walk, take photo's and ponder.
